Special Events Committee
This committee will be led by the 2017-2018 Quest Liaison.
Member Responsibilities
Commitment: 2-3 hours/week

Take the lead on big events such as: Money Matters Week, National Quest Day, Halona Retreat, Quest Alumni Weekend events, and Quest Gala
-
Tasks may include; reserving spaces, securing speakers, placing orders for supplies, and other tasks as assigned

Participate in meetings with the committee leader and fellow members
-
Evidence of professionalism, time management skills, organizational skills, communication skills
Community Building Events (CBE) Committee
This committee will be led by Caitlin Warren ('18)
Member Responsibilities
Commitment: 2-3 hours/week

Organize events on and off campus to allow for Questies to meet each other and foster friendship and community in safe spaces

Events include: Diversity Weekend mixers, Spring Break trips, Quest Night at the Motley, movie nights, etc.

Procure resources necessary for each event (transportation, food, emergency plan); plan collaborative events with other affinity groups

Participate in weekly meetings with the committee leader and fellow members

Evidence of excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to handle logistical planning details, a strong work ethic, and the creativity and vision to design opportunities that can be truly beneficial to the Quest community
Academic & Professional Events (APE) Committee
Leader Responsibilities
Commitment: 2-4 hours/week

Link the Quest community to workshops, opportunities, and groups which can provide students with the resources and information to achieve their academic and professional goals

Past events: conversations with Quest upperclassmen and alumni, connections with the Career Development and Study Abroad Office

Participate in two meetings regularly: one in which they lead their committee members, and one in which they highlight their progress to the Quest Executive Board

Demonstrate evidence of strong leadership, excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to handle logistical planning details, a strong work ethic, and the creativity and vision to design opportunities that can be truly beneficial to the Quest community
